Hello and welcome to the project page of CMSimple.
CMSimple is a php based Content Managemant System (CMS) , which requires no database. All data are stored in a simple file system.
With a single installation of CMSimple you can operate an unlimited number of independent or connected websites in subdirectories.
The extremely simple template system allows you to customize your pages, if you have some basic knowledge in html and CSS. Each single page can have its own individual template.
With Plugins, the functionality of CMSimple can be extended, there are photo galleries, a comment plugin that allows you to make every single CMSimple page commentable, and much more.
Also a WebLog can be operated with CMSimple. The complete package CMSimpleRealBlog already contains the necessary plugins and is "ready to blog immediately".
With the integrated Pluginmanager, you are able to manage your plugins easily and conveniently.
CMSimple has no management of user rights, but you can entrust the maintenance of single pages external authors, without requiring them to log into the main page.
On the following pages you will learn more about CMSimple.
CMSimple 4.5.1 is available for download
Beside some small improvements, the language files are extended for responsive templates, and some old constants are not defined anymore.
Also an "easy to install" update CMSimple 4.0 => 4.5.1 is available. Additional a language update pack is available.
NewsBlog collects the (hidden) subpages of a CMSimple page, and presents them in a blog style. Therefore, blog articles are quite normal CMSimple pages - simpler isn't possible.
Security Update, Update recommended.
Furthermore: Improved search report and code cleaning in many places, Autopublish works without activated Autoarchive now.
FotoPro 2.0 has a new OnPage gallery function. The Onpage galleries presents the images on the page, and not in a LightBox or in a PopUp.
MultiMedia2 now includes a html5 video function, so it is a real MultiMedia plugin now.
In early November 2012, I have purchased the rights to CMSimple and the domains, and I will continue the development of CMSimple now.
The development of the popular Content Management System CMSimple has stagnated since about 2008, from 2008 up to 2012 there were only a few bug fixes and security updates.
During this period, several Forks and offshoots of CMSimple has started, which developed the original CMSimple in different directions.
The new CMSimple 4 combines the native CMSimple, a lot of own developments and the best of several forks and offshoots to a modern and contemporary CMS.
