I am not able to get it working

I followed the help_en.htm instructions, double checked the "Files- and Folders Permissions"

It did generate a languages/nl.php file, which I also chmoded to 666

I want to use it to generate the sitemap.xml

Any suggestions how to get this working?

Here it works, CMSimple 5.19 with SubsiteFuncs 2.5:

So the reason seems to be related to your server environment (php version?) or to yourself

The PHP version is a bit old but I can not upgrade it here: 7.0.33-0

There is no further error log...

And it could be an user error, but the double check should have solved that

It crashes when it executes ./plugins/subsitefuncs/index.php

Maybe that's the problem, but I can't test it anywhere...

Have you enabled debug mode?
